This heater is used for determining the influence of heat and air to stiff bitumen.

1.1 Instruction:This heater is used for determining the influence of heat and air to stiff bitumen.This heater is used at the arbitrary chosen working temperature in the range of 50°C-200°C. After choosing, automatic control system in the box does the materialization determination of stiff bitumen under the constant temperature condition.

1.2 Structure element:1. General arrangement: The out body is composed by thin steel plates. The upper half part is the fully stainless steel working room with double door. The lower half part are the electric control part and machine speed-down driven setting.2. Observation: the door of working room is double type, the thickness of inner one is 30mm, the outer is 50mm. There is a glass observing window between them. There is a light in the room to help to see the thermometer inserting from the top from outside conveniently when determining.3. Heating: heating setting is fixed on the bottom of the working room, heating with the way of air naturally convection. It heats the working room uniformly by the up, down and back fan duct.4. Heat preservation and heat control: heating preservation layer and fan duct are between the working room and the box shell. The heating preservation layer is filled with Fiberglas to prevent the temperature of working room conducting to outside as it may influence the constant temperature and the sensitivity of the constant temperature.5. Working room: there is a turnplate which can contain four bitumen sample utensils in the centre of the working room. It is driven by the motor. It also can be used as the common constant temperature chest by taking away the turnplate.

1.3 Operation:1. Power equipment: There should be a over loading secure device in the power supply line, special use for the box. It is also with a good grounding device. Level the heating box to revolve the turn plate on the horizontal. The obliquity to the horizontal should be no higher than 3 degree when revolving.2. Temperature adjustment: a. fix the thermometer on (the distance between the mercury bulb of the thermometer to the top of the turn plate is about 6.4mm), adjust the temperature controller to the needed temperature of 163°C.b. Turn off all the switches on the distribution plate, plug the power plug and turn on the power.c. Point the third conversion switch to the position 1, check the reading of the working thermometer when the working room temperature rose to the needed temperature of 163°C. Obtain the correct temperature of the working room by adjusting the temperature controller. Estimate the constant temperature power is 1300W at 163°C. You can determine the bitumen film after keeping the constant temperature for 15 minutes.3. Put the utensil containing the sample on the turn plate, turn off the heating box and revolve the turn plate, keep the heater temperature constantly at 163°C.4. Don’t turn on or off the light in the room arbitrarily when the box is running, prevent affecting the stability of the working room temperature.5. Turn off all the switches after operating.
